About Greg

Hi there! My name is Greg. I’m 57 years old and live in San Jose, California. A mechanical engineer by degree, I’ve been working in the semi-conductor industry for about 32 years, these days in an inside Sales and Marketing function.

I grew up in a Christian home, but upon leaving for college at age 18, I began to pursue a largely secular lifestyle. For 19 years God let me go my own way. During this time I twice took a break between jobs to travel the world, backpacker style on a shoestring budget—once for 8 months and again for 7. That was quite an education. There’s nothing like crossing India on a train economy class.

Eventually my heart started to change, and at age 38 I finally made my decision to return to God for good. It’s never too late. At about that time my wife Jeanne and I got married, and we now have 3 wonderful kids—a boy T.J. at 17 years old, and identical twin girls Katherine and Suzanne at 15 years old.

One day in 2012 when picking up my son from his Kindergarten class at our local elementary school, I noticed a children’s book about Evolution on prominent display in the school library. I was furious inside, to be honest, because it presented whale evolution as a fact. I didn’t say anything, but that day I determined to learn everything I could about the Creation and Evolution debate so that I could educate my own kids with the truth. Needless to say my wife home schools our kids now, but for a number of reasons, not just this.

Three years of self-study went from exciting to very exciting, as I not only discovered the evidence for Creation (and the Flood) but some of the broader evidence for Christianity. Growing up in the church I don’t remember anybody ever showing me this kind of information, and I think I really needed it. As a result, I have a real interest in teaching the evidence for Christianity to students of all ages.

It didn’t take me long to realize that if I am going to teach, I should know what I’m talking about. So I looked for and discovered the Master’s degree program in Christian Apologetics at Biola University. What is Apologetics? Simply a study of the evidence for Christianity. It’s considered a specialty degree within the larger field of Theology.

After almost 5 years I completed the degree in December of 2019. Along the way, for four years I taught a 12 week class on Creation and Evolution to homeschoolers, and presented on broader topics concerning the evidence for Christianity a number of times in several different churches and student groups.

It’s an exciting time to be a Christian. The last 50 years or more have yielded an explosion of scientific and archaeological evidence that points to God and Christianity. I hope you’ll join me throughout this web site as we explore it!
